Top 10 vegetarian bakeries and desserts in Singapore you must try

45 places on OneHungryHippo · reviewed October 2026

Dessert is where vegetarian and vegan food in Singapore has changed the most in the last few years. Alongside the traditional tau suan and sesame ball stalls there are now vegan bakeries, plant-based ice cream, donut shops and chocolate cafés, and several of them are fully egg-free. This guide covers the dessert shops, bakeries and kiosks in our directory.

The biggest name by outlet count is Dough Culture, a vegetarian kiosk chain with 18 outlets in our directory, in malls from Causeway Point and Northpoint City to Tampines Mall, Waterway Point and Changi City Point. The kiosks sell buns, cakes, carrot cake, congee and curry puffs, and the Changi City Point outlet is known for tau suan, sesame balls and tau suan with you tiao. Most open between 7am and 9am and close at 9pm or 10pm, which makes them reliable for a vegetarian breakfast or snack in the heartland malls.

For vegan cakes and ice cream, Delcie's Desserts and Cakes at Whampoa West sells forest cakes and a vegan carrot hummingbird cake, and says all its cakes are free from egg and dairy. Kind Kones (Orchard, Suntec and Westgate) makes ice cream, brownies and ganache cake without dairy or eggs. Oat & About in Chinatown does oat milk ice cream, including black sesame and mango sticky rice. OMG! Decadent Donuts at Margaret Drive is totally plant-based and open daily until 10pm, and Lilac Oak in River Valley is a vegan dessert shop that states it uses no dairy, eggs, alcohol or alliums.

For bakes, M Bakery at Bendemeer Road is a vegan bakery open every day of the week, Almond Bakery at Bukit Batok Central sells vegan mini pizza, chocolate cake and otak and pandan buns, Mama Patisserie at Fortune Centre says it bakes eggless breads, buns and cakes daily, and Slow Bakes in Yishun has sourdough and cinnamon buns until 2pm. Baomaker in Ang Mo Kio is a vegan and allium-free bao specialist. Jo Yi Cafe at Bedok North is the late one, open daily from 10am to 1am.
