Top 10 vegetarian food in Woodlands you must try
23 places on OneHungryHippo · reviewed October 2026
Woodlands, up in the far north, has just over twenty vegetarian places, and a few of them are genuinely excellent. The town is dotted with Chinese vegetarian stalls in coffee shops and food centres, doing the usual economy rice, yong tau foo and mock-meat dishes, plus a couple of small vegetarian restaurants around Causeway Point and the Woodlands town centre.
Woodlands MRT and Causeway Point are the middle of it, with Marsiling MRT, Admiralty MRT and the Thomson-East Coast Line's Woodlands North and Woodlands South stations reaching the rest of the estate. Almost all of the stall food is Buddhist vegetarian, so no egg, no onion, no garlic, which makes the majority of it vegan without asking.
Woodlands has 23 vegetarian places in our directory, spread across four areas. Woodlands MRT and Causeway Point are the town centre, with Vege Story and a Dough Culture kiosk a minute away. Admiralty MRT serves the stalls at Blk 678A and Woodlands Drive 71, Marsiling MRT those on Woodlands Streets 13, 31 and 32, and Woodlands South serves Woodlands Health Campus, with Ofanz Vegetarian and Salad and the BW Monastery canteen.

Good to know
- Getting there: Woodlands MRT and Causeway Point are the town centre. Marsiling MRT and Admiralty MRT cover the west and north, and Woodlands South MRT the newer southern blocks.
- The coffee shop and food centre stalls around Marsiling and the older Woodlands blocks are the cheapest, and busiest at lunch.
- Heartland hours: early opening, most stalls closed by evening, and the occasional rest day, so check before a long trip north.
- Nearly every stall here is Buddhist vegetarian, so no egg, onion or garlic as standard.
- If you are coming from town it is a long ride, so it is worth checking opening days on the listing first.
- Prices are low here: Gong Fu Yuan's curry bee hoon is $2.80, SHU's nasi lemak $3.30 on its days, and several stalls charge $4 to $5 for a noodle or rice dish. Many stalls close by 2pm to 4pm, so lunch is the safest time.
- Rest days: Tanaka (Woodlands) is closed on Mondays, Daily Green (Woodlands) opens only from 4pm to 9pm, and En Hui Vegetarian is closed on Mondays.
