Top 10 egg-free vegetarian food in Singapore you must try

28 places on OneHungryHippo · reviewed October 2026

In Singapore, vegetarian often means no meat or fish but not necessarily no egg. Many stalls use egg in fried noodles, omelettes, buns and cakes, and the sign out front rarely says. If you avoid egg because of an allergy, a lacto-vegetarian diet, a Buddhist practice or simply preference, you need places that state it. This guide lists 28 in our directory.

We counted a place when the business says its food is egg-free, eggless or fully vegan, on its website, social page or menu. A fully vegan place has no egg by definition, so those are included. The largest group is cakes, ice cream and bakes: Delcie's Desserts and Cakes at Novena says all its cakes are plant-based and free of eggs and dairy, Kind Kones (Orchard, Suntec and Westgate) makes ice cream and desserts free of dairy and eggs, Oatberry in Tanjong Pagar is free of dairy, soy, eggs and tree nuts, and Mama Patisserie at Fortune Centre says it serves daily eggless breads, buns and cakes.

For a meal, there is more than you might expect. EYWA at City Gate is dairy-free and egg-free. Veganburg at Eunos, Genesis Vegan Restaurant at Havelock II, Cultivate at Cook Street, Veg-An at Trio Mall (Japanese vegan ramen and bento) and Wakamama's vegan omakase in Pasir Panjang are all fully plant-based. Tracy Juice Culture in Rochor states "No Egg, No Garlic, No Onions, No Meat, No Dairy", and NomVNom at Clarke Quay says no dairy, egg, onion, garlic or alcohol. Bishan Vegetarian Stall at the bus interchange describes itself as pure vegetarian and eggless, which makes it a rare cheap hawker option.

A further 16 places state that some of their items are egg-free, or that you can ask. Nature's Harvest Vegetarian in Sengkang describes itself as egg-free. Fire Flies in Chinatown lists an eggless kolo mee, Seva Cafe at Fortune Centre lists eggless cakes and vegan cupcakes, and Yes Natural Bakery in Geylang offers a vegan muffin and an eggless lemon cake. Mother Earth Classic Vegetarian in Balestier says most dishes are vegan-friendly and asks you to tell them if you avoid eggs. The Friendly Vegetarian Food Supplier labels its products individually, so you can see which contain egg.

Good to know

  • Egg-free versus vegan: vegan places are always egg-free, but egg-free places are not always vegan, because some use dairy. If you avoid both, read the statement on the listing.
  • At vegetarian hawker stalls, ask before ordering. Egg is common in fried noodles, fried rice, carrot cake, kway teow and in desserts such as buns. Xuan Miao Vegan at Paya Lebar, for example, notes that its dumplings contain egg.
  • Many of the dessert and bakery places keep short hours. Rya Bakehouse is open Thursday to Sunday, Our Vegan Bakery opens Thursday to Sunday from 1:30pm to 3pm, NutriJoy is open Friday to Sunday only, and The Clean Addicts is online pre-order only. Check the listing first.
  • Wakamama's omakase is by reservation only, and The Clean Addicts takes online pre-orders only. Look at each listing before turning up.
  • Cross-contamination: a place can be egg-free in its recipes and still prepare food in a shared kitchen. If you have an allergy, ask about how food is prepared.
  • We keep this list under review. If you know a place that states it is egg-free, or one on this list that has changed, use the report link on its listing.
