Top 10 vegetarian food in Jurong West you must try

20 places on OneHungryHippo · reviewed October 2026

Jurong West has twenty vegetarian places in our directory, and almost all of them are cheap. Most are single stalls in HDB coffee shops, where a plate of bee hoon, hor fun or lor mee costs between about $3 and $6. Zhu Lin Vegetarian sells vegetarian bee hoon at $3.20 and lor mee at $4.20, and 99 Vegetarian has assorted hor fun and fried Hokkien noodles at $5. Nothing here needs a booking.

The stalls sit in four clusters, and it helps to know which one you are heading to. Blocks 493, 494 and 498 on Jurong West Street 41 hold Ginga Vegetarian Food, Fang Lin, SHU Vegetarian and Vegetarian Villas, all within about seven to eleven minutes of Lakeside MRT. Blocks 505 and 519 on Jurong West Street 52 add Wan Yuan, Tofu Vegetarian Food and Flourish Cafe. Pioneer MRT is the closest station for 99 Vegetarian and Fo You Yuan on Jurong West Street 61. Boon Lay MRT, three minutes from Greendot and two from Bai Jia Le, is the stop for Jurong Point.

If you want to sit down in air conditioning, Jurong Point has Greendot, a Chinese vegetarian restaurant with bento sets from $8.40, and Bai Jia Le, a Hakka stall that serves thunder tea rice from $6.80. For a longer meal, D'life on Jurong West Avenue 1 and Leaf Corner at Nanyang Community Club cook full menus with claypots, yam rings and Nonya dishes, at $9 to $26 a dish. Mother Earth, on Upper Jurong Road, goes wider still, with Pad Thai alongside local noodle soups.

A few stalls open very early. Wan Yuan and Jia Jia Vegetarian both start at 5am, and Zhu Lin and Tofu Vegetarian Food open at 5:30am, which makes this one of the easier parts of the island for a vegetarian breakfast. Two stalls are inside Nanyang Technological University, Daily Green in South Spine Canteen B and The Crowded Bowl at North Spine, so check their hours against the term calendar before a special trip.

Good to know

  • Getting there: Lakeside MRT for the Jurong West Street 41 and 52 coffee shops (expect a 6 to 11 minute walk), Pioneer MRT for Jurong West Street 61 and Jia Jia, Boon Lay MRT for Jurong Point. The coffee shop stalls are closer to a bus stop than to the station, so a short bus ride saves the walk.
  • Check the rest day before you go. Flourish Cafe, Tofu Vegetarian Food and TMJ Ginga are closed on Mondays (TMJ Ginga on Tuesdays as well), Fo You Yuan on Tuesdays, and Poh Meng Vegetarian Food is open only on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Crowded Bowl at NTU is closed on weekends.
  • Most stalls close by mid-afternoon. Wan Yuan, Zhu Lin, Tofu Vegetarian Food and TMJ Ginga wrap up between 1pm and 2pm or earlier, so lunch is the late end of their day. For dinner, look at Ginga (until 8:30pm), D'life (until 10pm) and Leaf Corner (until 9:30pm).
  • Allium and egg: D'life (Jurong West) states that its food is made without the five pungent vegetables (onion, garlic and the like), and Flourish Cafe states it is allium-free. For the other stalls we have no confirmation, so ask at the counter. Several menus use egg, such as Leaf Corner's tomato omelette and the ginger egg mee suah at Leaf Corner and Mother Earth.
  • Budget about $4 to $7 at a coffee shop stall and $12 to $25 a person at D'life, Leaf Corner or Mother Earth. Cash is the safe choice at the smaller stalls.
  • Hours and walking times were checked in October 2026. Stalls change their rest days without notice, so call or look at the listing if you are making a long trip.
